TAKE A STANCE FOR JESUS

Last week we saw that, as says the Bible, the name of Jesus is POWER! At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow whether it be in heaven, on earth or under the earth. These are not the words of man but God's own words.

As seen in the letters to the Philippians 2:8-13 NKJV. ...God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name, which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”.

Passages like this establishes the POWER of Jesus as supreme authority, a force unlike any other forces known to man. The entire Bible from beginning to the ends is an epic story of Jesus, from Genesis through revelation we see his image and his type, God performed the very first sacrifice, taking the life of an animal covering the first man and women typifying the salvation of Jesus Christ. The Arc sheltered and the salvaged the lives of Noah and his family, that too is another type of Christ our shelter and our redeemer! The word of God goes on and on with so many other types and figure of Christ, Christ is “the seed of Abraham”, “the seed of David”, and our Passover lamb.

Jesus is at the center of our universe; He created it all things as a member of the trinity. He’s at the center of human history whether you like it or not, today we continue calculate our days based on Jesus’s very existence, either before Christ or after Christ. Thus, He is the force from which we are to draw our strength and where we are to stand if we are going to be victorious.

I implore you to stand firm in the authority and the might of the POWER of Christ. Also, I urge you take a stand for the name of Jesus Christ in this evil world. The apostle says it in letters to the Romans 1 verse 16 KJV, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is power of God unto salvation to every one that believes". Second Corinthians 15 reminds us that the Gospel Jesus Christ is a sweet and pleasing aroma. Within which there is tremendous POWER, where we find lasting victory against all existential adversities.

This aroma is the center of our lives, the center our family, our church, our community. There is no greater victory than what we can harness through uttering the name of Jesus.

This morning, may you take a firm stance with Jesus as His been standing up for you!
